The client had problems with moisture in the garage. The ground level outside one wall was 0.7 meters
higher than the slab level inside the garage. Water was seeping into the garage.
The wall was affected by Rising Damp.
So, we have three different, independent issues that need to be addressed:
1. Rising damp
2. Lateral damp or Penetrating damp
3. Penetrating actual rainwater

The first, most important and labor-intensive step is surface preparation.

The existing covering (Bagging Render) was removed from the wall using a grinder.
An Chemically Bonded Polysiloxane Damp Proof Course was installed.

The Damp Proof Course Cream was absorbed into the wall and a new Damp Course was
formed.
This will protect the wall from rising damp.

We formed a 45* angle fillet at internal corners between horizontal and vertical surface with rapid-setting
cementitious compound Sika Plug (Fast Setting Water Plug)
This will prevent actual rainwater from entering the garage.

The holes was patched with suitable mortar/patching material

To solve the third issue and protect the wall from penetrating damp, we cover the wall with three coats
of epoxy membrane - Moisture barrier to negative sides of underground wall.

The job is done.
The wall can be painted with any type of paint in any color.
This surface preparation ensures that the new
paint will adhere to the brick wall, be partially absorbed into it, and last for a very long time.
